Lilly is a beautiful 3 year old female German Shepherd who was surrendered to a shelter by her owners. Her first owner died and then was given to a family who kept her alone in the backyard for 8 months. When she became bored and destructive they dumped her at a shelter. She has a wonderful temperament and loves all people, large and small, greeting everyone with a wagging tail! She loves children of all ages. She kisses babies and wiggles and squeals when she sees a school bus! Even though she is full of energy, she is very gentle around smaller children. You would never have to worry about her accepting various human visitors, of all sizes, in the house. She is very trainable and very smart who has had some obedience training, but will need training with her new family to establish leadership and proper bonding. Lilly is also high energy with a healthy prey drive, so no cats. She will need a family who runs, hikes and leads an active lifestyle. Since she has a prey drive she must be the only pet. We are working on her reactiveness to dogs, but with some focused training she will quickly overcome her fearful reactions. Lilly is also food and toy motivated. She has ball drive and loves to play fetch. Lilly is a sweet dog looking for a family who will make her a part of their lives and give her the exercise and attention she needs and wants.
